Product Overview
|
The DDR SP8 is essentially the same car as the SP4 but based around a Chevy small block V8 (hence the 8) instead of the 4 cylinder Toyota/Honda version. It is a stunning sports coupe, no doubt taking some styling queues from the McLaren F1 but totally built from scratch using the traditional wooden buck method to create the GRP mold. |
The SP8 uses parts from a 1997 - 2002 LS1 Corvette including its small block V8 engine. In addition you will need either a Porsche G50 or Audi Transaxle. Components are bolted to the tubular space frame chassis. |
Body tub is fiberglass with some carbon fiber, doors open in a scissor/gullwing type arrangement and have a cut out in the roof ala GT40. The SP8 is bodily identical to it's SP4 sister. |
